God's Debris

I read the most fascinating book last week. It is a short e-book titled "God's Debris" by Scott Adams. Scott Adams is the author of the Dilbert series and when not drawing comics, quite the philosopher. He is offering his e-book for free on the Dilbert site. I am highly recommending either downloading it or going to your local Barnes & Noble and buying it for around $11. It is a thought experiment wrapped in a fictional story. I personally could not put it down. It is relatively short, only a couple of hours reading for the above average reader, but the way Scott presents the concepts will leave you contemplating it for days.

In other news, Tiff and I are starting a new diet plan today and I will keep everyone updated as to our progress here. I have about 80 pounds to lose. As of today I weigh in at about 275. When it is all done I am aiming for 195.

I just thought about it and an idea struck me. Why not have a little support group here for all of my fellow windbags fighting the battle of the bulge? Anyone interested?

who knows what the hell i weigh, but i plan to be HOT and skinny and back in my old sizes. (Its gonna be a while... I know Im over 250) I have never tried any of the herbal supplements that are on the market and in doing a bit of research, it seems that this one is going to be the best for my body, so we'll see what happens.

275? Your picture (which I notice no longer appears on your posts) was deceiving... or was it old? Perhaps you held the pounds in your wooden leg. Then again, we all hold it differently.

You have my support. In fact, I support the shit out of ya both! Very difficult to lose weight, very difficult. But I'm in the same boat guys. Husband gave me til xmas to lose the baby weight (of course he was jokingly cracking the whip- he doesn't care one bit- but let's give him shit anyway).

Best of luck to us all!

Tiff: You are HOT now.

Poopoocup: I was 265 in that photo for the record. I am 6'1" with a large frame so my looks can deceive. At 275 I look 240. For me the weight loss will be for health reasons only.

6'1"? We'd all look good if we were 6'1". I might even look emaciated!

I was thinking... it takes a lot of balls to tell someone your weight, not to mention post it. Perhaps the number is not such a big deal for a guy, but for us gals, well, for me and my comradettes, it appears ro be. Major kudos, Mrs. Clarkson, you got BALLS girl!

Strawberry -

OMG Girl, if you got down to the size you were in highschool that might be too skinny. But if you kept some curves, while still getting healthy, then you'd have no shortage of hot chicks lined up to try to take you away from your man (or at least please you beyond your wildest dreams - with women, that is). So go for it. You know you've got my support.

Same to you Mike - I know it's customary for men to showcase their beautiful women...but Strawberry needs to be able to show you off as well. Your love for one another doesn't belittle how attracted you are to each other...and that is sooooooo cool.

Go for it, guys...Keep us posted!
